The Motto "Protect and Serve" should not be taken this literally

A woman is waiting at the police station to talk to an officer. The officer is out at a call and is enroute back to the station. The woman calls dispatch and wants us to ask the officer if he can stop and get her something to eat on the way and a mountain dew because she has had a stressful day.
