**** After 2 adventurous years as a 911 calltaker and dispatcher I have decided to go back to school. I still have a notebook of stories to share as well as good friends at the call center I left who keep me posted. The blog will continue as long as I have postworthy material :) Thank you to all my readers and to the officers, paramedics, fire fighters, and dispatchers who continue to serve the public in their hours of need.
A lady calls in stating alarms are going off in her house and she doesn't know why. The police respond and it turns out her alarm clock is going off in her bedroom. The officer turned it off and saved the day.
I've done that before too when i just didn't want to get up in the morning... i then called 911 because of that first burst of cold water when you turn the shower head on...it scared me and i thought i might have been some type of liquid anthrax... i understand this woman's pain with the early morning.
